Design know-how

Our in-house design team includes riders who have competed internationally, qualified saddle fitters, technical specialists and experienced horsemen. This unique combination of talent, expertise and experience allows us to produce saddles for horses and riders of every shape at every level.

Changeable Gullet Bar Icon

Changeable gullet bar

A changeable gullet bar allows you or your saddle fitter to modify the width of the saddle’s gullet to suit the horse’s wither profile as the horse changes shape with either exercise, muscle development, maturity or rest. There are 8 options in the short S-bar and 7 in the long R-bar.

The Campaign for Wool

100% British wool flocking

Wool is a natural fibre and provides superior softness and comfort for the horse because it moulds and settles quickly, giving optimum panel contact with the horse’s back. Two reinforced flocking slots make it easy for your saddle fitter to do any necessary adjustments to fit on-site

Girthing Information

Kent and Masters Competition Series Dual-Flap Jump Girthing - 1st and 3rd Billet

The saddle fitter will begin by girthing in the neutral position using the 1st and 3rd billets

Kent and Masters Competition Series Dual-Flap Jump Girthing - 2nd and 3rd Billet

If the saddle is moving back, the fitter will use the 2nd and 3rd billet

Kent and Masters Competition Series Dual-Flap Jump Girthing - 2nd and 4th Billet

If there is a lot of backward movement, the saddle fitter will move the last billet to the balance ring and use the 2nd and 4th position

Kent and Masters Competition Series Dual-Flap Jump Girthing - 1st and 4th Billet

In the cases where the saddle is lifting at the back, there is asymmetric movement, or where extra stability is required, the saddle fitter will use the 1st and 4th position

Moveable Blocks

The Competition Series Dual Flap Jump is supplied with one pair of calf blocks and two pairs of knee blocks. Use the larger knee blocks if you prefer more leg support.

The knee and calf blocks are moveable to allow you to customise the amount and type of leg support you need. If you prefer to ride with short stirrups, or have short legs, position the block higher up on the Velcro pad.
